Pound Stays Lower Against Dollar as Bank of England Holds Interest Rates
The pound stayed lower against the dollar and the euro after the Bank of England maintained its emergency bond-purchase plan and left its benchmark interest rate at a record low.
The U.K. currency declined 0.4 percent to $1.5404 as of 12:01 p.m. in London and weakened 0.5 percent to 82.61 pence.
