Sony in Partnership With Marvel to Animate Comics, Nikkei Says

Sony Pictures Entertainment (Japan) Inc. is joining with Walt Disney Co.’s Marvel Entertainment to animate U.S. comics in Japan and broadcast them globally, Nikkei English News reported, without saying where it got the information.

Japanese studio Madhouse will animate Marvel characters including Iron Man and X-Men and cartoon channel Animax Broadcast Japan will start showing the comics on cable and satellite Oct. 1, Nikkei said.
