Spain Solar Industry Plans Court Battle on Subsidies, Economista Reports

Spanish solar power companies are preparing to challenge the government in the country’s highest court should officials impose a cut on the subsidies that existing photovoltaic plants earn, El Economista reported. The Photovoltaic Industry Association is working with KPMG on a legal strategy which may include an appeal to the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg as well as Spain’s Supreme Court, the newspaper said, citing people at the association without naming them.
