Wal-Mart Investigation Finds Elec-Tech Plant Unsafe, Morning Post Reports

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. found a factory operated by Elec-Tech International Co., its home-appliances supplier, in China was unsafe, the South China Morning Post reported, citing Wal-Mart spokesman Kevin Gardner.

Wal-Mart uncovered 55 incidents of staff injuries in the past 12 months and asked Elec-Tech to decommission all the unsafe machines, according to the Morning Post.
