U.S. Corn, Soybean Crop Yields Reduced After Hot, Dry Spell, Survey Says

U.S. corn and soybean production probably will be smaller than the government forecast last month after hot, dry weather in June and July reduced yields, according to a survey of as many as 28 analysts by Bloomberg News.

Below are their crop estimates in billions of bushels and average yields based on bushels per acre. The U.S. Department of Agriculture is scheduled to release its second field-based estimates of production on Sept. 10 at 8:30 a.m. in Washington.
