Alfa Laval, GN Store, Norske Skog Shares May Move: Nordic Stock Preview
The following companies may have unusual price changes in Nordic trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close.
The Stoxx Nordic 30 Index, the benchmark measure for the region, rose 42.21, or 0.6 percent to 6,692.4.
The OMX Stockholm 30 Index advanced 0.5 percent and the Copenhagen 20 Index increased 0.4 percent. The OMX Helsinki 25 Index climbed 0.3 percent, while Norway’s OBX Index added 1.7 percent.
Alfa Laval AB (ALFA SS): The world’s largest maker of heat exchangers said it offered 68 kronor per share for all the stock in Munters AB. The shares rose 1.4 percent to 113.8 kronor
Amagerbanken A/S (AMAG DC): The Danish bank said it has concluded an agreement with the Danish state concerning the amendment of certain terms and conditions for the government injection of hybrid core capital. The agreement entails the renouncement of the bank’s obligation to convert the government hybrid core capital in certain instances. The shares soared 42 percent to 8.5 kroner.
Elcoteq SE (ELQAV FH): The Finnish manufacturer of mobile handsets and flat-panel televisions said it will implement a new organizational structure effective as of Oct. 1.
Separately, the company said it may cut as many as 25 employees in Finland. The shares were unchanged at 1.49 euros.
GN Store Nord A/S (GN DC) and TDC A/S (TDC DC): DPTG I/S, owned by GN and TDC, was awarded about 2.9 billion kroner ($502 million) after a court said Telekomunikacja Polska SA still owed the Danish companies for work they did in the early 1990s.
GN shares rose 1.7 percent to 42.4 kroner while TDC shares advanced 1.2 percent to 42 kroner.
Norske Skogindustrier ASA (NSG NO): The Norwegian papermaker was downgraded to “reduce” from “hold” at Terra Markets AS. The shares slipped 1.8 percent to 9.76 kroner.
