India Tests Cruise Missile Off Eastern Coast, Press Trust of India Reports

India tested a supersonic cruise missile off the nation’s eastern coast today, Press Trust of India reported, citing an unidentified official of the Defence Research and Development Organisation.

The BrahMos missile, which the South Asian nation developed jointly with Russia, has a range of 290 kilometers (180 miles) and may be launched from ships, aircraft, submarines or land, according to the news agency.
