Dredging Work Raises Hong Kong Harbor Worry, South China Morning Post Says

A series of marine projects is raising concern over the effect of dredging on Hong Kong’s harbor as the seabed is churned, with contamination risks from heavy metals dumped in the 1960s and 1970s, the South China Morning Post reported.

At least 12 projects including roads, ports, tunnels and pipes are due to start this year and next, the Post said, citing scientists.
