Woods Trails by Six at Deutsche Bank Golf After Shooting Second-Round 65
Tiger Woods shot 6-under-par 65 to move within six shots of the lead in the second round of the U.S. PGA Tour’s Deutsche Bank Championship.
Woods made six birdies and no bogeys today at the TPC of Boston course in Norton, Massachusetts, and is 5-under for the tournament. Brandt Snedeker leads at 11-under, with Luke Donald a shot back. Both are still on the course.
Woods is tied for 28th place and must finish among the top 70 in the FedEx Cup standings to advance to next week’s BMW Championship outside Chicago. The top 30 players then move on to the season-ending Tour Championship in Atlanta on Sept. 23-26.
The FedEx Cup winner receives a $10 million bonus. Woods has won the title two of the past three years.
