Italy Finance Minister Rules Out New Budget Measures, Repubblica Reports
Italian Finance Minister Giulio Tremonti said in an interview with la Repubblica that no new budget measures are needed this year.
The country’s economy and public finances “aren’t facing an emergency,” Tremonti said in the interview. Italian government bonds are “sold well,” he added. Tremonti also said that a new head of market regulator Consob “will be appointed soon.”
