Schaeuble Says German-Swiss Tax Talks Will Be Completed by End of October

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said talks with Switzerland to resolve the issue of untaxed German-owned deposits in Swiss banks will be finalized by the end of October, and an agreement signed while his Swiss counterpart Hans-Rudolf Merz is still in office. A solution for existing German holdings will be found, Schaeuble said, speaking at an event in Basel, Switzerland.
