Draghi Says European Recovery Becoming More Broad Based, Helped by Exports
European Central Bank council member Mario Draghi said a European economic recovery led by German exports is becoming more broad based, citing a pick-up in investment and consumer spending. Draghi, who is also the governor of Italy’s central bank, said the ECB’s monetary stance will remain “accommodative,” speaking to reporters in Seoul today. The ECB yesterday extended emergency lending measures for banks into 2011.
