Chile's Cencosud Second-Quarter Net Income Increases to 79.4 Billion Pesos
Cencosud SA, Chile’s largest retailer by sales, reported second-quarter profit of 79.4 billion pesos ($160 million), beating the 52.9 billion-peso average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
Net income rose from 63.7 billion pesos a year earlier, according to a statement posted on the website of Chile’s securities regulator. Sales rose to 1.49 trillion pesos from 1.31 trillion pesos.
