Barclays Said to Hire Rockefeller's Pratt as Hong Kong Debt Capital Head
Barclays Plc hired Jon Pratt to be its Hong Kong-based head of debt capital markets for Asia outside of Japan and Australia, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Pratt, who starts with the bank this month, was previously a managing director in charge of institutional relationships at U.S. wealth management firm Rockefeller & Co., the person said, asking not to be identified as the details are private.
Prior to that, Pratt was head of Asia-Pacific debt origination at Merrill Lynch & Co., according to an announcement last year. He is also a former head of debt capital markets for Asia excluding Japan at Credit Suisse Group AG, according to the announcement.
Pratt will report to Andy Jones and Patrick Kwan, co-heads of global finance and Asia-Pacific risk solutions, the person said today. Barclays spokesman Timothy Cuffe declined to comment.
