Total Kenya First-Half Net Income Surges on Chevron Purchase, Sales Double
Total Kenya Ltd., the local unit of Total SA, said first-half net income surged on synergies from the acquisition of Chevron Kenya Ltd. last year.
Earnings climbed to 302.28 million shillings compared with 36.96 million shillings a year earlier, Managing Director Felix Majekodunmi said in an advertisement in the Nairobi-based Daily Nation newspaper.
Sales more than doubled to 39 billion shillings from 15.32 billion shillings, Majekodunmi said.
“Management is optimistic that the performance of the second half will be in line with projections, provided that there will be improved product flow to upcountry locations,” he said.
