McLaughlin Gormley King to Process Pyrethrum in Rwanda, New Times Reports
McLaughlin Gormley King Co., a U.S. insecticide manufacturer that buys pyrethrum from Rwanda, plans to begin refining the plant in the East African country, New Times reported, citing a growers association.
A factory in Rwanda will process 3,000 metric tons of the flowers annually, the Kigali-based newspaper said, citing Gabriel Bizimungu, general manager of the Rwanda Pyrethrum Growers Association.
Pyrethrum flowers are used to manufacture insecticide.
