KBC Ancora, Banimmo, Umicore May Be Active: Benelux Equity Market Preview
The following companies may have unusual price changes in Benelux markets. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are from the previous close.
The Amsterdam Exchanges Index rose 9.05, or 2.9 percent, to 325.52. Belgium’s Bel20 Index advanced 74.30, or 3 percent, to 2,531.76. Luxembourg’s LuxX Index gained 2 percent to 1,434.73.
Banimmo SA (BANI BB): The Belgian real-estate developer controlled by France’s Affine SA said its first-half net loss widened to 6.53 million euros ($8.35 million) from 5.96 million euros a year earlier, after fair value adjustments on real estate. Profit before before restatement of fair market values was 1.09 million euros, compared with a loss of 1.02 million euros in the first half of 2009. Banimmo dropped 3.1 percent to 14.92 euros.
KBC Ancora CVA (KBCA BB): The largest shareholder of KBC Groep NV said its fiscal-year net loss shrank to 30.5 million euros from 1.26 billion euros a year earlier and reported net debt rose to 8.02 euros a share on June 30. KBC Ancora gained 3.5 percent to 16.64 euros.
Umicore SA (UMI BB): The world’s largest precious-metals recycler was raised to “overweight” from “neutral” at JPMorgan Chase & Co. The shares added 5.4 percent to 28.92 euros.
