France Says It Sold 10-Year Bonds Today at a Record Low Yield of 2.55%
France sold 10-year government bonds at a record low yield today, according to data from Agence France Tresor.
The 3.5 percent security maturing in April 2020 was sold at a yield of 2.55 percent, the lowest since the debt agency’s records began. The bond drew bids for 2.16 times the amount of securities on offer.
After the auction today, the debt agency has raised 154.7 billion euros, or 82.3 percent of its funding program for this year, according to the e-mailed note from the debt agency.
