Harry Winston Diamond, RIM, Toronto-Dominion: Canadian Equity Preview
Shares of the following companies may have unusual moves in Canadian trading.
Enbridge Inc. (ENB CT) The company that carries most of the oil exported to the U.S. from Canada faces an investigation by U.S. officials over complaints it coerced residents near a Michigan pipeline spill not to sue, the Globe and Mail reported.
Harry Winston Diamond Corp. (HW CT): The mining company posted adjusted earnings of 17 U.S. cents a share, topping the average analyst estimate of 5 cents in a Bloomberg survey.
Research In Motion Ltd. (RIM CT): India said it will ask the BlackBerry maker, Google Inc., Skype Technologies SA and other service providers to set up servers locally and enable security agencies to monitor mail traffic.
Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD CT): Canada’s second-largest lender said profit climbed for the third straight quarter, led by record earnings at its domestic consumer bank. Profit before some items missed the average analyst estimate by 1.2 percent.
