Air China Revises Existing Agreement for Purchase of 15 Boeing 787 Planes
Air China Ltd entered into a supplementary agreement with The Boeing Company to buy 15 787-9 aircraft, the company said in a statement to the Shanghai stock exchange today. The company in 2005 was approved to buy 15 787-8 aircraft, it said.
The market price of the planes in the supplementary agreement were valued at $3.19 billion, it said. The planes will be delivered to Air China between 2015 and 2018 and the company will pay cash for the aircraft, it said. The deal still needs shareholder approval, it said.
