Iran Plans to Set Up National Internet Search Engine by 2012, Shargh Says
Iran is planning to set up a national Internet search engine by the end of March 2012, Shargh reported, citing the head of research at the state-run Information Technology Co., Hadi Malekparast.
The search engine will be more suited to the needs of Iranians as it will produce a smaller, more focused list of results compared with Yahoo and Google, Malekparast said, according to the Tehran-based newspaper.
