Hungary “can’t afford” to give up budget consolidation and needs to cut its shortfall below 3 percent of gross domestic product next year, European Union Economic and Monetary Affairs CommissionerOlli Rehn told Vasarnapi Hirek.

Hungary’s needs to maintain fiscal discipline instead of trying to win approval to widen its budget targets for next year, Vasarnapi Hirek reported, citing an interview with Rehn.
