Berkshire Hathaway May Make Bid for Royal Bank Insurance Unit, Times Says

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. is among companies considering bidding for Direct Line, an insurance unit of Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc, the Sunday Times reported without saying where it obtained information.

Allstate Corp. is also among potential bidders for Direct Line, the newspaper said.
