The following is a list of companies whose stocks may have unusual price changes in Paris. Symbols are in parentheses after company names and prices are from the last close.
France’s CAC 40 Index climbed 0.7 percent to 3,475.03 at the 5:30 p.m. close in Paris, the gauge’s first advance in three days. The SBF 120 Index rose 0.8 percent.
Etam Developpement SA (TAM FP): The women’s clothing designer and retailer said first-half net income rose to 7.2 million euros from 2.2 million euros a year earlier. The shares gained 2.3 percent to 32.72 euros.
GDF Suez SA (GSZ FP): France’s Energy Minister Jean-Louis Borloo asked the national mediator to compile a report on the energy company’s client billings, following claims of over- charging reported in the Le Parisien newspaper. The shares rose 0.2 percent to 24.34 euros.
Lagardere SCA (MMB FP): France’s biggest publisher said first-half profit rose 20 percent, buoyed by a rebound in advertising, and raised its outlook for the full-year. The shares added 0.8 percent to 29.28 euros.
Lanson-BCC (LAN FP): The champagne maker reported first- half operating profit “close to” 9.3 million euros, up from 8 million euros a year earlier, and forecast improved full-year earnings. The shares dropped 0.7 percent to 50.06 euros.
Vivendi SA (VIV FP): French Industry Minister Christian Estrosi backed a plan for exclusive talks between the national post office and Vivendi’s SFR unit over a La Poste mobile phone service. The shares advanced 0.5 percent to 17.37 euros.
