Rice in Thailand Advances to 5-Month High on Low Supply, Association Says
Thai rice prices, the benchmark for Asia, advanced to the highest level in five months as delayed plantings cut supply, the Thai Rice Exporters Association said.
The price of 100-percent grade-B white rice gained 2.1 percent to $489 a metric ton, said Pisanu Sangyoo, an official at the association. That was the highest level since April 7, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
