Citigroup Hires Christian Lusted as Hedge-Fund Sales Director in London
Citigroup Inc. hired Christian Lusted from BNP Paribas SA to join its London-based commodities team as a director for hedge fund sales.
Lusted, 38, started on Aug. 17, he said today by e-mail. He has more than 15 years of experience in banking and the mining industry, and reports to Mark Konijnenberg, head of commodities sales and origination in Europe, Middle East and Africa, the bank’s spokesman Jeffrey French said by e-mail. Lusted also worked at Amalgamated Metal Trading Ltd. in London before joining BNP Paribas, the largest French bank, in 2006.
BNP Paribas said yesterday it hired Mads Hultgreen from BlueGold Capital Management LLP as head of commodity derivatives European hedge-fund sales in London. Robert Jenkins, a BNP Paribas spokesman in London, declined to say whether Hultgreen was a replacement for Lusted.
