UniCredit, Intesa Among Possible Bidders for Montenegro Bank, Ansa Says

UniCredit SpA and Intesa Sanpaolo SpA, Italy’s biggest and second-biggest banks, respectively, are among lenders interested in buying Montenegro’s Prva Banka, Ansa said, citing the Podgorica Dan local newspaper.

The Montenegrin bank controlled by Aco Djukanovic, brother of Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, started talks with the lenders several days ago, Ansa cited the bank’s General Manager Predrag Drecun as saying. Mediobanca SpA is also interested in the purchase, according to Ansa.
