ReneSola Wins Contract to Supply 836 Megawatts of Solar Wafers

ReneSola Ltd. (SOL), the world’s largest recycler of scrap wafers used in solar panels, said it won two contracts to supply 836 megawatts of wafers to two Taiwan-based panel makers.

Neo Solar Power Corp. (3576) will buy 434 megawatts of wafers from October through the end of 2013, and Solartech Energy Corp. (3561) will buy 402 megawatts under a contract that began in July and will continue through the end of 2013, Jiashan, China-based ReneSola said today in a statement.

ReneSola rose 22 cents to $8 a share as of 8:32 a.m. in early trading in New York. The shares have returned about 66 percent this year, making ReneSola the top performer among the 38-member Bloomberg Global Solar Leaders Index.
