Accor, BNP Paribas, Ginger, Sanofi-Aventis: French Equity-Market Preview
The following is a list of companies whose shares may have unusual price changes in Paris. Stock symbols are in parentheses after company names. Share prices are from the last close.
France’s CAC 40 Index fell 0.4 percent to 3,647.93. The SBF 120 Index dropped 0.3 percent.
Accor SA (AC FP): Europe’s largest hotel company will add a third hotel in Peru through its Ibis unit, Banco de Credito said. The shares gained 0.3 percent to 23.81 euros.
BNP Paribas SA (BNP FP): The chairman and chief executive officer of France’s biggest bank by market value made a total profit of 1.2 million euros ($1.5 million) exercising stock options and selling the shares this month, according to official filings with the stock market regulator. The shares lost 1.3 percent to 53.03 euros.
Ginger SA (GNG FP): The Paris-based engineering company said first-half operating profit fell to 1.7 million euros from 6 million euros a year earlier. Ginger said it sees a recovery in profitability in the second half. The shares closed unchanged at 28.20 euros.
Sanofi-Aventis SA (SAN FP): Koor Industries Ltd., a company controlled by billionaire Nochi Dankner, said its board recently approved an investment of up to $120 million in shares of the Paris-based drugmaker. Koor already has $75 million invested in Sanofi. The stock climbed 1 percent to 45.62 euros.
