Republic of Ireland Soccer Coach Giovanni Trapattoni Leaves Hospital
Ireland soccer team coach Giovanni Trapattoni was discharged from hospital this morning after undergoing abdominal surgery, the Football Association of Ireland said in a statement.
Trapattoni, 71, was operated on at Mater hospital in Dublin last week for pain in his abdomen caused by minor scar tissue from a previous operation.
“Giovanni Trapattoni would like to express his sincere thanks to the staff of the Mater hospital for their excellent care,” the FAI said.
