China Researcher Says No `Sharp' Decline in Trade in 2010, Daily Reports

China won’t see a ‘sharp’ decline in foreign trade this year, the People’s Daily overseas edition reported today, citing Mei Xinyu, a researcher at the Ministry of Commerce.

Inflationary pressures caused by the cost of imported raw materials also started to decline from July, Mei was cited as saying. China’s recent imports of corn and purchases of rice from Vietnam should push up international prices, Mei was cited as saying.
