South African President Jacob Zuma Backs Media Appeals Tribunal, SABC Says

South African President Jacob Zuma supports a proposal by the ruling African National Congress to create a media appeals tribunal that can settle complaints against the press, the South African Broadcasting Corp. said.
There is a need for protection from biased and unfair reporting, the Johannesburg-based broadcaster said on its website today, citing Zuma.
