Time Inc. Said to Name Jack Griffin Chief Executive, Replacing Ann Moore
Time Warner Inc. will name Jack Griffin chief executive officer of its Time Inc. publishing unit, replacing Ann Moore, according to a person with knowledge of the decision.
Griffin left his previous job as president of Des Moines, Iowa-based Meredith Corp.’s national media group to pursue another opportunity, the company said on Aug. 2. The person asked not to be identified because the decision isn’t public.
The move was reported earlier by the Financial Times.
Gary Ginsberg, a spokesman for New York-based Time Warner, declined to comment. Art Slusark, a spokesman for Meredith, didn’t immediately respond to a phone call and e-mail after regular business hours.
