Kenya Planning to Resume Its Weekly Coffee Auctions on Aug. 10 After Break
Kenya will resume its weekly coffee auctions on Aug. 10, after a seven-week break, with an offer of about 30,000 50-kilogram (110-pound) bags, the Nairobi Coffee Exchange said.
Auctions will restart with most of the supplies from the new crop from the eastern growing region, Daniel Mbithi, the exchange’s chief executive officer, said today by phone from the capital, Nairobi.
