Unichem Laboratories Plans to Spend $22 Million to Boost Drug Production

Unichem Laboratories Ltd. plans to invest 1 billion rupees ($22 million) this fiscal year to increase drug production, said Gundu Rao, executive vice president of corporate affairs, in an interview in Mumbai today.

Of the total, 600 million rupees will be for a new factory to be built in Indore city, central India, and the remaining amount will be used to expand a research facility in Goa, western India, Rao said.
