Arkema Quarterly Profit Rebounds on Cost Cuts, China, CEO Tells Le Figaro

Arkema SA had net income of 119 million euros in the second quarter, rebounding from a year- earlier loss of 114 million euros, Chief Executive Officer Thierry Le Henaff told Le Figaro newspaper in an interview.

The recovery was driven by cost cuts and growth in China, Le Henaff told Le Figaro. Arkema will have reduced fixed costs by 600 million euros by the end of 2010, he was cited as saying.
