Lloyds Banking Group Plc expects to report a 1 billion-pound profit ($1.6 billion) for the first half of the year, bolstering Chief Executive Officer Eric Daniels’s position at the bank, the FT reported.
Daniels and the bank were criticized by investors earlier this year over pay policy, the newspaper said. Lloyds is scheduled to report earnings next week.
