Blackstone, PAI Hire Goldman, JPMorgan for United Biscuits Sale, FT Says

Blackstone Group LP and PAI Partners Holdings Inc. hired Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. to sell United Biscuits Holdings Ltd. in an auction worth about 2 billion pounds ($3.1 billion), the Financial Times reported, citing people familiar with the situation.

Blackstone and PAI are examining plans to split United’s operations into snack and biscuit businesses to make them more attractive to bidders, the newspaper said.
