South Africa Says Posts Monthly Budget Surplus of $1.22 Billion in June

South Africa posted a budget surplus of 8.93 billion rand in June from a year-earlier deficit of 477.32 million rand, the National Treasury said.

Government revenue rose to 74.65 billion rand in June from 65.57 billion rand in the same month a year ago, the Pretoria- based government department said on its website today. Expenditure amounted to 65.73 billion rand from 66.05 billion rand a year earlier, it said.
