Tiger Woods will play in the Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio, next week, before his final shot at a major golf title this season.
Woods listed the World Golf Championships event at Firestone Country Club on the playing scheduled posted on his website. He has won the tournament seven times, a PGA Tour record for an event at a single course. The tournament runs Aug. 5-8.
Starting Aug. 12, Woods will be at the PGA Championship, the season’s final major, at Whistling Straits Golf Club in Kohler, Wisconsin. He is four titles behind Jack Nicklaus’s record of 18 professional majors.
