Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant is recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee, the National Basketball Association team said.
The two-time defending Finals Most Valuable Player underwent surgery last week.
“Bryant is currently undergoing rehab and is expected to be fully recovered prior to the start of the Lakers’ training camp on Sept. 25,” the team said on its website.
Bryant, 31, averaged 27 points per game last season, and 29.2 points per game during the playoffs.
