BHP, Rio Tinto May Face Secondary Japan Antitrust Review, Nikkei Reports
BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto Group’s proposed venture involving their Australian iron ore operations may be subject to a secondary antitrust review by the Japan Fair Trade Commission, Nikkei English News reported, without citing a source for the information.
An initial 30-day review is scheduled to end on July 16, while the a decision from the secondary review would come within 90 days, according to the report.
