SJVN Gains in Mumbai After Report of Stake in Georgia Hydropower Project

SJVN Ltd. rose as much as 1.4 percent in Mumbai trading after the Financial Chronicle newspaper reported, citing Chairman H.K. Sharma, that the operator of India’s largest hydropower plant may buy a 30 percent stake in a 638 megawatt hydroelectric project in Georgia at an estimated cost of 3.45 billion rupees.
