Netherlands Defeats Uruguay 3-2, Advances to World Cup Final

The Netherlands beat Uruguay 3-2 to advance to the World Cup final for the first time since 1978.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben scored for the Netherlands at Green Point Stadium in Cape Town. Diego Forlan and Maxi Pereira had the Uruguay goals.

The Netherlands will face Germany or Spain in Johannesburg on July 11. It will be the third World Cup final for the Dutch, who lost to West Germany in 1974 and Argentina four years later.
