Benelux Stocks: Barco, Dockwise, Imtech, Nieuwe Steen, Unit4 Are Active

The Amsterdam Exchanges Index retreated 2.38, or 0.7 percent, to 332.73 as of 9:53 a.m. local time, a third straight drop. Belgium’s Bel20 Index declined 20.49, or 0.8 percent, to 2,473.85.

The following are among the most active stocks in the Benelux markets today. Symbols are in parentheses.

Dutch stocks:

Dockwise Ltd. (DOCKW NA) gained 1.6 percent to 21.34 euros, reversing yesterday’s 1.2 percent drop. The world’s biggest operator of ships that haul oil-rig parts and other heavy cargo said it won orders with expected revenue of more than $35 million.

Imtech NV (IM NA) fell 3.4 percent to 22.51 euros, a third day of declines. The largest Dutch technical-services company agreed to buy Sweden’s NEA Gruppen AB for about 975 million kronor ($125 million) and said it will sell as many as 8.32 million shares, partly to help finance the purchase.

Nieuwe Steen Investments NV (NISTI NA) rose 0.9 percent to 13.92 euros. The Dutch owner of shops and offices in the Netherlands and Switzerland said it sold six properties so far this year for 11.1 million euros ($13.7 million).

Unit4 NV (UNIT4 NA) dropped 1.3 percent to 18.20 euros. The largest Dutch distributor of software for accounting firms will await Teta SA’s results in the current quarter before it will decide on whether to raise its bid for the company, Het Financieele Dagblad reported, citing Chief Financial Officer Edwin van Leeuwen. Unit4 has room to raise its bid, Van Leeuwen is quoted as saying.

Belgian stocks:

Barco NV (BAR BB) rose 1.4 percent to 39.61 euros, paring yesterday’s 1.9 percent drop. The Belgian maker of digital cinema projectors won an order to provide digital-cinema projectors for more than 300 screens at Empire Theatres Ltd. in Canada. Barco fell 1.9 percent to 39.06 euros.
