Suzuki, Volkswagen Won't Set Up Joint Chinese Plant, Chairman Suzuki Says

Suzuki Motor Corp., Japan’s second- largest maker of mini-cars, has “no plans” to set up joint production with Volkswagen AG in China, Suzuki Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Osamu Suzuki said today.

The two compoanies will build separate production units in China, Suzuki said at a press conference in Esztergom, Hungary.
