Tiger Woods Tied for 20th, Fowler Leads After Third Round at Memorial

Tiger Woods is tied for 20th place, six shots behind leader Rickie Fowler after the third round at the Memorial Tournament.

Fowler fired a three-under 69 to remain three strokes ahead in the U.S. PGA Tour event at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio. His third-round score of 16-under 200 was two shots off Scott Hoch’s 1987 54-hole record.

Woods, the defending champion and a four-time Memorial winner, had a 69 today for a six-under 210.

Ricky Barnes played the third round in 10-under 62 to tie Tim Petrovic, who shot a 68, for second place at 203.

“Obviously, irons were probably the main key to the round,” Barnes said. “I got off to a great start. I hit a lot of fairways, hit a lot of greens, and took advantage of my good looks -- not those good looks -- my good putting.”
