French June New Car Sales Fell 1.2% as Government Incentives Phased Out
French new car sales fell 1.2 percent in June as the government began phasing out incentives.
New car registrations fell to 240,587 units.
Light vehicle registrations, which include delivery trucks, rose 0.9 percent to 283,554 units, led by a 29 percent increase for Nissan Motor Ltd. and a 22 percent jump for General Motors Co. Renault SA recorded a 0.6 percent gain in the month, while Peugeot Citroen sales slid 2.7 percent.
