Restaurant Brands First-Quarter Sales Rise 4.2%, Led by Improved KFC Unit

Restaurant Brands New Zealand Ltd., which operates the country’s KFC, Pizza Hut and Starbucks franchises, said first-quarter sales rose 4.2 percent led by trading at its fried chicken outlets.
Sales increased to NZ$75.9 million in the 12 weeks ended May 24 from the year-earlier period, the Auckland-based company said in a statement. Adjusted for new store openings, sales increased 6.3 percent from the year before, the company said in a statement to the stock exchange.
