JPMorgan's Highbridge Is Close to Buying Gavea Investimentos, Valor Says

JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s Highbridge Capital Management LLC is close to buying control of Brazilian fund company Gavea Investimentos Ltda., Valor Economico reported, without saying where it got the information.

Arminio Fraga, former head of Brazil’s central bank, may continue to lead Gavea for three to five years after the acquisition, the Sao Paulo-based newspaper said.
